The 2024 Dickinson FFA Winter Showdown will be held on February 3rd & 4th, 2024 at the Galveston County Fairgrounds in Hitchcock. This is an unaffiliated open prospect show.

Winter Showdown Day 1- Saturday, February 3rd, 2024
Swine Show is being judged by Traylor Lenz
Lamb & Goat Show is being judged by Kit Clostio
SWINE SHOW @ 9AM
LAMB & GOAT SHOW @ 1PM (or upon conclusion of swine show)
Show Schedule is as follows:
Check-In starts at 7:00 AM
Swine Weight cards turned in by 8:30 AM
Show will start at 9:00 AM
Lamb & Goat Weight Cards due by 12:30 PM
Swine Show Order: Senior Showmanship, Junior Showmanship, Light Div., Medium Div., Heavy Div., Champion Drive
Lamb Show Order: Senior Showmanship, Junior Showmanship, Light Div., Medium Div., Heavy Div., Champion Drive
Goat Show Order: Senior Showmanship, Junior Showmanship, Light Div., Medium Div., Heavy Div., Champion Drive
All animals will be sorted into breed divisions and classes by weight cards. Upon check-in, each exhibitor will receive a weight card that must be turned in by 8:30 AM. There will be digital scales open at 7am available for use. There will NOT be a weigh back for any animals during the show. No animal will be allowed in the show ring without turning in a weight card. Exhibitors participating in Showmanship must declare if in the Junior or Senior Division. Juniors are classified by those in 3rd-8th grade. Seniors are classified as those in 9th-12th grade. Showmanship is $10 CASH ONLY AT THE SHOW. Buckles awarded for showmanship.
Winter Showdown Day 2- Sunday, February 3rd, 2024
Cattle Show is being judged by Cole Young
Show Schedule is as follows:
Check-In starts at 7:00 am
Cattle must be registered and weight cards turned in by 8:30 am
Show will start at 9:00 am
Steer Show Order: Senior Showmanship, Junior Showmanship, American Div., British Div., Exotic Div., Champion Drive
Heifer Show Order: Senior Showmanship, Junior Showmanship, American Div., British Div., Exotic Div., Champion Drive
Steers will be sorted into classes and divisions by weight cards. Upon check-in, each exhibitor will receive a weight card that must be turned in by 8:30 AM. Breeding Heifers will be sorted by Division and Date of Birth provided by the exhibitor, registration papers not required, due on entry cards by 8:30 AM. There will be digital scales open at 7am available for use. There will NOT be a weigh back for any animals during the show. No animal will be allowed in the show ring without turning in a weight card. There is no classifier on hand, cattle exhibitors must indicate thier division. Exhibitors participating in Showmanship must declare if in the Junior or Senior Division. Juniors are classified by those in 3rd-8th grade. Seniors are classified as those in 9th-12th grade.
